What kind of life am I leading here, in this dunya? This dunya which is temporary, where everything has been written and predetermined?

God, please don't let me be. I need Your support. Lately, things have become harder and tougher. Life, that is. I feel like sighing, but I know You don't like servants who sigh as that indicates ungratefulness. So I'm trying my best to brace myself; make myself stronger, but without You, where can I find the strength? Where can I find the fuel to recharge my confidence and energy? Oh Lord, there is just this much that I can take. I know I've been pretty well despite taking in a lot from You these past years,.. but I'm still a normal girl after all. There is just this much that I can take,.. just this much. This much. Before I break. Sooner or later,..

I'm losing so much by the day. Oh so pain. Get me a gun please, to end this atrocity, once and for all

Always go back to Him. Always.

Prophet (SAW)'s Prayers

When in any difficulty Recite: اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ وَأَصْلِحْ شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ "O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, do not leave me for even the duration of an eye blink (duration) and correct my total condition. Besides You there is none worthy of worship". (Hisnul Hasin) Alternate dua حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ "Allah is sufficient for us and He is the Best Guardian". (Quran, Surah Al-Imraan) Alternatively recite اللَّهُ اللَّهُ رَبِّي لَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئَاً "Allah is my Lord, I do not ascribe anything unto Him". (Hisnul Hasin from Abu Dawood) or recite يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ "O Alive and everlasting One, I beseech You by Your mercy". (Mustadrak Hakim) لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ "O Allah, there is none worthy of worship besides You. You are Pure, definitely I have oppressed my soul by sinning". The Qur'an states that these words were recited when Yunus (A.S.) called upon Allah from the belly of the fish. Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) stated in a hadith that when any Muslim makes this dua via these words to Allah, then Allah surely accepts his duas. (Tirmidhi etc) It is stated in a hadith that لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ is the medicine for 99 ailments, the least of which is depression. (Baihaqi in Dawatul Kubra) It means that these words are so beneficial and useful that big/great grievances, depression and sorrow are easily removed in its stride. Abdullah bin Abbas (R.A.) narrates that Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) stated that if a person constantly makes "Astaghfar", then Allah removes every difficulty, frees him from every sorrow and makes a means for him to receive sustencance from places that he never thought of. (Mishkat from Ahmad) When tired of life Due to difficulty death is sought but one should never pray for death instead pray this: اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرٌ لِي وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرَاً لِي "O Allah keep me alive as long as is good for me and when death is better for me lift me". (Mishkat)

Exam fever.. Some du'as please?

Assalamualaikum and Greetings to all,

I believe exams are around the corner for many, or maybe some of you is in the midst of it as I am writing this post. Well, sorry for posting this a tad bit late. Should have done it a month ago or so.

Anyway, let's cut stories short and go straight to a list of prayers which are highly useful and suitable for many of us, inshaAllah:

DU'A BEFORE STUDYING

Allahuma infa' nii bimaa 'allamtanii wa'aallimnii maa yanfa' unii - O' Allah! Make useful for me what You taught me and teach me knowledge that will be useful to me. 

Allahumma inii as 'aluka fahmal-nabiyyen wa hifthal mursaleen al-muqarrabeen - O' Allah! I ask You for the understanding of the Prophets and the memory of the messengers, and those nearest to You.

Allahumma innaka 'ala matasha 'u qadeer wa anta hasbunallahu wa na'mal wakeel - O' Allah! You do whatever You wish and You are my availer and Protector and the best of aid. 

DU'A WHEN YOU FIND SOMETHING BECOMING DIFFICULT

Allahumma la sahlan illa ma ja 'altahu sahlan wa anta taj 'alul hazna iza shi'ta sahlan - O' Allah! Nothing is easy except what You have made easy. If You wish, You ease sorrow. [Ibn Hibban in his Sahih (no. 2427), and Ibn As-Sunni (no.351). Al-Hafidh (Ibn Hajar) said this]

DU'A FOR ANXIETY

Allahumma inni a'oodhoo bika minal-hammi walhuzni, wal 'ajzi wal-kasali wal-bukhli wal-jubni, wa dal 'id-dayni wa ghalabatir rijaali - O' Allah! I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, from being overcome by debt and from being overpowered by men (i.e. others) [Sahih al-Bukhari 7:158]

DU'A FOR DISTRESS

Allahumma rahmataka arjoo falaa takilnee ilaa nafsee tarfata 'aynin wa aslih-lee sha'nee kullahu, laa illaha illa anta - O' Allah! It is Your mercy that I hope for so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for a blink of an eye and rectify for me all of my affairs. None has the right to be worshipped but You. [Abu Dawud 4/324, Ahmad 5/42. Al-Albani graded it as good in Sahih Abu Dawud 3/959]

DU'A AFTER STUDYING

Allahumma inni astaodeeuka ma qara'tu wama hafaz-tu. Allahumma faradduhu 'allaya inda hagati elayhi. - O' Allah! O entrust You with what I have read and I have studies.  O' Allah! Bring it back to me when I am in need of it.

It would be a great idea to have this printed and up on your wall in your cosy room or pinned in front of your study table. Suggestion: You can highlight the du'as with colorful highlighters (make it look pleasant to look at, haha.)

Last but not least, ma'at taufiq wan najah to all exam takers. May Allah provide guidance and be with us all the time. Aminn yaRabbal al amin.

Short Film - Tomato (going viral~ awesome)

YaAllah, sweet sangat ukhuwah (friendship ties) diorang nih. Walaupun mereka kaum Adam tapi paparan elemen saling menyayangi antara satu sama lain itu mantap sekali. Syukur alhamdulillah ada ikhwah sebegini di muka bumi ini. Ana rasa beginilah ikhwah lain patut aspire to be. Tak payahlah nak fikir sayang-menyayangi ini hanya boleh dipraktikkan antara perempuan dan lelaki (i.e. referring to hubungan yang halal of course. Yang dating2 tu sorrylah, hm.. xnak ckp lebih.. takut dosa pula. faham2 je lah ya para pembaca.).

This vid is a great example of how a sweet friendship (penuh halawah) between the same gender can be so fulfilling, wholesome, and touching~! And THIS is the kind of video that should go viral so good messages can be spread to many people out there.

On another note, hats off to them for producing such a good quality short film (I see some great potentials). Hope they keep it up, it sure is a good form of da'wah. May Allah bless them for their efforts dalam memperjuangkan tanggungjawab mereka sebagai hamba2 Allah. (pardon me for such a manglish post this time around.)

P/s: Sebenarnya ana x pernah sangka boleh wujudnya hubungan antara lelaki yang sebegini. Ingatkan hanya kaum hawa sahaja yang erti sweet2 macam nih. Keep it up guys, am impressed. (which doesn't matter of course, what matters is Allah SWT's view, not mine. Duhh.)

Alhamdulillah for I am still steadfast in this path; even if there are speed bumps every now and then that I have to drive through. But these bumps <-- His tests, I have to face as best as I can so as to not disappoint my Only One. Please continue to guide me and most importantly, please open the hearts of those whom I love and care for so much. Hear my prayers O' Allah.

(31:15) - But if they endeavour to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.
