I LOVE Mua Chee very very much~

Typical Chinese snacks found at many night markets aka pasar malam. selalu menjadi rebutan orang ramai. here is a simple way to make this snack using the microwave! haha.

Amy Beh's recipe:

Ingredients
    (A)::

  • 340g glutinous rice flour

  • 290ml to 310ml water
    (B):

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 3 to 4 tbsp pati santan
    Groundnut mixture (mix together):

  • 175g toasted peanuts, pounded

  • 250g granulated sugar

  • 4 tbsp cooked groundnut oil

    Method
Mix (A) well and add in (B) gradually to form a smooth and soft dough. Make into thin pancakes and boil till light and puffy. Transfer to a bowl and mix in 4 tbsp cooked groundnut oil.

Cut out Mua Chee pieces and coat with groundnut mixture.

    OR

  • Ingredients:

    1 cup glutinous rice flour
    2 tsp sugar
    2 tbsp thick coconut milk
    1 tbsp cooking oil
    150 ml water
2 tbsp fragrant oil(oil fried with shallots)

    Coating:

1/2 cup of chopped toasted peanuts
1/4 cup of fine granulated sugar
    1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
     or
     Chop or pound peanut brittles

    Method:

Mix glutinous rice flour, sugar, coconut milk, oil and water in a microwable bowl and microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir well and cook on high for another minute. Stir well, it should be cooked but if you are having a lower wattage microwave you might have to cook another minute more.

Add in the 2 tbsp of fragrant oil(cooking oil straight from the bottle will do - only no fragrance)

    Let the dough cool.

Add the peanut, sesame seeds and sugar mixture to the dough and using an oiled scissor, snip into smaller pieces and coat well with peanuts. (if not serving the whole portion, remove a small piece enough to eat, and put into the coating, then snip from there. Remove the coated dough for serving and leave the coating for the rest of the dough). credits to Lily Ng

    OR 3rd recommended method:

    Ingredients:
    Dough:
    250 grams glutinous rice flour
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    2 tbsp water

    Topping:
    1 pack of toasted peanuts
    Sugar, to taste

    Directions:
Mix dough with water and form into small pieces of dough.
In a large pot heat water until briskly boiling, then put the dough in the boiling water. It will float when cooked.
Scoop out the cooked dough and put it on a plate.
Repeat until all the dough has been cooked.
Use scissors to cut it into bite sized portions before mixing it well with the vege oil.

Then, blend the peanuts into powder and add sugar to taste.
Take the dough pieces and roll in the ground peanut powder.
Continue rolling in peanut powder until all of the Muah Chee pieces are entirely coated with the peanut powder.
    Serve Muah Chee warm.

    ENJOY !

    seeking clarification~

    Assalamu alaykum wbt,

I've always known that there is the jamak prayer. However, I never realized that there are a few kinds of jamak prayers. So, if anyone out there is not burdened to help explain briefly on the kinds of jamak prayers that exists, I would most certainly appreciate your time and effort. Also, it is good to teach people what you know right? haha. Since that is one of the 3 things that can still continue to help you receive continuous goodness/rewards from Him even when you are no longer on Earth. My friend (Qurratulain) told me that it is in the hadis (words said by Nabi) that when human pass away, "tak akan ada amalan apa pun yang dapat bagi faedah melainkan kalau kita masa kita hidup, kita ada kongsi, sebarkan, ajarkan ilmu yang bermanfaat kat manusia. selagi ilmu tu bawak kebaikan, tak kiralah ilmu agama ke, ilmu dunia, n org yg kita ajar n terima ilmu tu amalkan, selagi tu pahala terus menerus mengalir walaupun kita dah mati."

You can also send me a link to an article where it has explanations regarding this topic but if possible, I hope it is not a LONG article as my spare time is very limited indeed, sad to say.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and is in the pink of health. Be good boys and girls and don't forget to pray your 5 compulsory prayers everyday as long as you are still breathing. hehe ^^

    peace be unto you~

    Random Quran Verse of the Day;

[29.7] And (as for) those who believe and do good, We will most certainly do away with their evil deeds and We will most certainly reward them the best of what they did.

    wahhhhh !!!!!!

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

I am overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I have to get done. haha.. I thank God that He is constantly guiding me through it all. I feel so fortunate for being one of His slave as it is such a great honor to be led by His light. This religion is ever so pure and filled with only goodness. However, Islam's image is sometimes tarnished by a handful of Muslims who doesn't live by the Laws imprinted in the Al-Qur'an, the Holy Book.

So, I urge all of you to pray along with me so that they will soon realize and open their eyes to follow and act based on what's right and wrong according to the outline in the Hadith and Qur'an. InsyaAllah, the more prayers there are, the stronger and greater chance of a change to occur in the near future.

    Amin

    alhamdulillah ! :)

I am so thankful to Him for having mercy upon me. Thank God, the exam actually went pretty smoothly ( much better than I expected ). An hour before I entered the exam room, I actually panicked and felt worried that I am not prepared enough until I was on the verge of crying ! But then, my friend calmed me down and I stopped and prayed for strength and wisdom. I suppose the prayer worked. all praise to Him.

I am so very grateful ! Really, I am.

    syukran syukran syukran !!! :) :) :)
