People think More money = More Happiness~~

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim - in the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Assalamu' alaykum warahmatullah wa barakatuh and greetings to all,

Many think that with money comes happiness: More money = More Happiness. (How sad and lame~!) Unfortunately, this equation does not hold true. *Tsk tsk* Sure, I acknowledge that it's not wrong in its entirety, but generally, that's not how happiness works. It’s how people live their life here, on Earth, which will determine what they achieve in this world and more importantly, how they will be treated and what they will be given in the Hereafter. However, most people in this world are fooled by this world's glamour and satan fools them by making the world appear oh-so-sweet and all that great. Satan also makes people think that they’re here just once, so you might as well enjoy yourselves whilst you are still around and another thing to highlight as well: people think that the more things they own, the better their life will be - the more cars, the more money, the more clothes, food, bigger/better houses, the better will be the quality of their lives. And people generally think that to have more money, they need to work harder. The harder they work, the more money they will earn and with more money, more things can be acquired. So how does the function look like in most minds? Well, more money --> more things --> more happiness --> better life --> live a great life (somewhere along that line). But this is where people are wrong and are greatly mistaken in their understanding. We must acknowledge and etch in mind that Allah has already ordained everything. Allah has written what Allah wants to give to each and every one of us. Allah has the power to give people things without even money and Allah has the power and the Kudrat to provide people with happiness without things. He is capable of providing human races with money and wealth.

(10:94) - If you were in doubt as to what We have revealed/given unto you, then ask those who have been reading the Book from Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt.
(10:107) - ...:if He designs some benefit for you, there is none can keep back His favour: He causes it to reach whomsoever of his servants He pleases. And He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Now, try pondering on the many cases throughout the world in history where people haven’t done much but they acquired great wealth, there are many cases where people don’t have many things but they’re very happy indeed, there are many people who have a lot of things in this life but they’re still not satisfied, and then there are the group of people in this world who work crazy hard but they don’t earn as much money. Allah says, “Do people think that they can decide how things are distributed? And Allah says, “I have distributed different things in the world, different amounts to different people.” Allah has given people different statuses here in the Dunya. Allah has put people in different positions in society so that people can complement (complete each others' lacking) and get along with one another. Can you imagine if everybody in this world are well off, then those many things/jobs that only poor and simple people(those who people think are in the low class society.) do will not get done. And if everybody is poor in this world, then mashaAllah, so many things, so many projects that need money and funding, but because no one has the money, these jobs also don’t get realised/executed. So, Allah has made some rich, some poor, some in between so that we can all help one another. The rich need the poor and the poor need the rich.
Often people get deceived and satan deceives people into thinking that accumulation of worldly things is what you are here for. And satan makes people think that this is it, and there’s nothing beyond - so this dunya is made and this is the only life – we live and we die and that’s it~! This is a vast and highly dangerous misunderstanding amongst many. This dunya IS NOT a place to stay but rather a place where anyone who comes HAS TO leave! Rich and the poor, the young and the old, the good and the bad, the pious and the sinful: you name it, whoever who comes to this world will never remain. Everything that Allah has created and everyone who’s been sent here is destined the taste of death. And this dunya is not a place where one should set his heart but rather a place where he’s being judged. What Allah wants to see is who does the best of deeds, who lives a better life, and then, there will come a time when Allah Himself will reward the people. Plus, this life ISN'T OURS, for a Muslim, Allah has made it clear in the AQ, our prayers and our sacrifices, our life and our death IS FOR Allah SWT. We’re here in this world not to please ourselves, but to please Allah SWT. Allah says, “Have you not seen the results and outcomes of those who have made their own desires?” Hence, do constantly bear in mind that we are not here to fulfill our desires but to fulfill His desires so as to please our Almighty Lord. The pleasure of Allah is the ultimate achievement for any Mukmin. With whomsoever that Allah is happy with, whomever who sorts out his relationship with Allah, then Allah will sort out all his affairs between him and His Creation. Some people struggle to get along with their husbands, wives, children, friends, society, etc. The fundamental reason is because their relationship with Allah is on poor terms. Thus, if a person sorts out his relationship with Allah, then inshaAllah, He will sort out his affairs with all other people. I mean if we can’t please and keep He who has created us and who provides for us and who looks after us happy, then how can we possibly form good relationships with millions of other people? So relationship with Allah is of a fundamental importance for any Muslims. However, of course it doesn’t mean that we can neglect other people. No! It simply means that when you're on good terms with Allah SWT, He will then inspire you and with the fear and taufiq from Allah, a person will then be able to conduct good relationships with his family, wife, children, parents, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and the list goes on.

Besides that, wherever a Muslim goes, a Muslim can never ever hurt another Muslim with his hands or with his tongue. Being a Muslim ain’t just about praying, it ain't just about giving charity, and Muslim is not just about performing Hajj/Umrah. Being a Muslim is about fulfilling one’s responsibilities; responsibility towards Allah, towards Rasulullah, towards one’s family, towards one’s parents, and towards the society. Wherever a person goes, there are rights and responsibilities that comes with, and when a person fulfills those rights and responsibilities, mashaAllah, Allah blesses his life. InshaAllah~

(10:57-58) - (57) O' mankind! There has come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts, - and for those who believe, a Guidance and a Mercy. (58) Say: "In the Bounty of Allah, and in His Mercy, - in that let them rejoice": that is better than the (wealth) they hoard in the life of the Present.

(10:88-89) - (88) Moses prayed: "Our Lord! You have indeed bestowed on Pharaoh and his Chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of the Present, and so, our Lord, they mislead(men) from Your Path. Our Lord, deface the features of their wealth and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the grievous Penalty. (89) Allah said: "Accepted is your prayer (O' Moses and Aaron)! so you stand straight and do not follow the path of those who do not know."

WAllahua'lam.

side note: I know it's a tad bit long of a post, sorry but I did put a great amount of effort in completing this writing. hope it is of some use to some people at least.
