Here's something I'd like to share with all brothers and sisters, especially those who are blessed and fortunate to be located in the UK at the moment. (Also, of course to non-Muslims if you are interested. hehe)
There's a great 10-day long knowledge retreat that will be held in the UK during Christmas holidays. Seize this opportunity that Allah has given! True enough, you are required to spend out of your savings but seriously, it is going to be worth every penny and there will be not an ounce of regret but all the otherwise feelings and emotions instead. Trust me, I at least know this much when it comes to spending in the path of Allah SWT, an effort in procuring His knowledge. Remember, we are His Creation, He is our Creator, the least we can do is to work towards growing closer to Him and what way could be best than getting to know things revolving around Him?!!
